Guys, we did it! Lucifer is finally getting the fourth season it deserves (Especially after that cliffhanger of a finale). Courtesy of Netflix. After months of relentless tweeting and trending the multiple hashtags, The Hollywood Reporter announced earlier today that Netflix picked up the show!
How it Happened

Previously, news outlets alike reported that Amazon was also interested in picking up the series. But it looks like Netflix won in the end. But it being Netflix, it also means that the show might be changing formats.
On Fox, Lucifer episodes came out one at a time, week after week. Now that it’s being revived on Netflix, next season will have to come out at once. That is unless Netflix decides to follow shows like Dynasty, which is added to Netflix within 24 hours after it airs on the CW. Because of that format, the show’s become popular with international fans. Or they could do what The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale does, which follows the same once-a-week structure as network TV. But we’ll just have to wait a little longer to find out how their schedule will work. Hopefully we won’t wait too long though.
The Lucifer Fandom

Regardless, I think we’re all just glad that the Devil’s coming back to our screens for new episodes. And I’m sure this will also mean previous episodes will be available on Netflix at some point. Preferably internationally because Lucifer‘s gotten very popular with international fans. But I’d also just like to take the time to thank all my fellow Lucifans. I’ve never been a part of a fandom so loving, dedicated, supportive, and hopeful. And I’m just glad I can say I was part of this incredible movement with all of you.
